The Audi A7 Sportback is a car which was first announced at the Pinakothek der Moderne art museum in Munich, Germany on 27th July 2010. It was later launched at the 2010 Paris Motor Show in October 2010, which took it into the limelight of rich car enthusiasts. However, its idea was previously given in the Detroit Auto Show held in 2009. Note that this car has already been rolled out in the dealerships of Europe since October 29. Its left hand drive for the United Kingdom will be released soon by mid-November. For the rest of the world, the Audi A7 sportback is planned to be released in spring 2011.

In the US, these Audi cars will come in four V6 variants; two gasoline and two diesel engines. The two gasoline variants will come with a 2.8 liter engine producing 201 bhp, and a 3.0 liter one producing a good 295 bhp. The diesel variants will have a standard 3.0 liter engine giving out a power of either 201 or 241 bhp. Along with the driver assistance functions from the Audi A8, the A7 Sportback also consists of features like 'Head-up Display' and 'Active Lane Assist'. The A7 has its engines in the front, which controls the wheels in the front wheel drive or the quattro four-wheel drive pattern. Coming to the transmission, it is fitted with a 7-speed dual clutch S tronic multitronic CVT system. The top of the car smoothly and gently extends backward down, which makes it look like a low crossover SUV. The hatch at the back opens to a boot of 535 liters of space, and 1390 liters with the folding of the rear seats. The hatch also has a spoiler built in, which activates while speeding.
